Home School Partnership
Home School Partnership is working with parents and the community making connections and opening communication.
I work with the School Community Liaison Officer from Crossover Trust, to recruit volunteers in the school, provide parent education and develop partnerships. Over the past two years we have run workshops on Mathematics, Junior Reading, Phonics, Healthy Lunches, Parenting, Ways to improve your mental health and well being and Tips for Budgeting.
On Friday mornings, parents run a coffee cart before school, where parents meet and chat. A great place to meet other parents with no pressure.
West Spreydon School encourages parents to be involved in the school. We have an active (and social) PTA. We have many parents who help us, some to complete a project, some continuously every week (PMP, reading support, classroom support) and others who help on the big days like athletics and cross country.
