We are a group of school parents & staff representatives who love Te Ara Koropiko West Spreydon School.
Our objectives are:
● To provide a social link between the students, parents/caregivers and the school.
● To support the school through fundraising to improve facilities and opportunities.
● To support the school in providing for the students educational, social, cultural and sporting activities.
● To encourage new families to integrate into the school's culture.
Recently we have held an Easter egg hunt, book character day, disco and pink shirt day support. Previous years we've used our kids' awesome artwork to help create recipe books, tea towels and calendars.
Fundraising is a huge part of what we do & we have a lot of fun doing it. We also like to help out around the school where possible with working bees, cleaning, sorting and gardening. Proceeds lately have gone towards our Lego club, Pink Shirt day, classroom art racks and wet weather day indoor activity resources.

We meet once a month, alternating between 9am Friday morning and 7pm Monday evening in the school library. If you would like to get involved or just touch base with us, please email wssfriendswhanau@gmail.com.
We are always keen for new members or volunteers who can be called upon to help as needed. No pressure, whatever you can give big or small
